On a lighter note, Orhan met a leprachaun
His name is Pat, but his pub is called Father Paddy's. He acquired the nickname as a college student due to preaching to his fraternity brothers, then went on to work as a youth minister for 24 years.
The pub is in Woodland (about 10 miles north of Davis) in what used to be a bank. The previous restaurant used the vault as a prep area, but Pat has turned it into the Whiskey Vault and installed three cabinets with different whiskeys (Americas, Ireland, and Scotland). Here Orhan is sampling a Glenfiddich (I think) while Dev studies the label design.
Dev was also struck by this bottle, though I think more by the volume than the graphics:
We plan to go back. It's nice to get out of Davis, the food was good, and it was great fun to talk with Pat. Maybe Orhan will write a whiskey review or two.
